Sanctuary | Housing Association | England & Scotland
Overview
Sanctuary is a not-for-profit housing association. We were set up more than 50 years ago and have grown into one of the UK’s largest providers of housing and care.
We support more than a quarter of a million people across England and Scotland. We own and manage around 120,000 homes and accommodation units.
Our purpose
We exist to serve customers and communities.
Our mission
Sanctuary aims to build affordable homes and sustainable communities where people choose to live.
What not-for-profit means
As a not-for-profit organisation, Sanctuary does not pay profits to shareholders. Instead, we reinvest all income back into services, homes, and neighbourhoods. That helps us deliver long-term value for customers and communities.
What we do
Affordable housing
Social housing is at the heart of Sanctuary. We believe secure, good-quality homes give people the stability they need to move forward in life.
Care and support
We also provide care and support services for people with different needs. This includes services for older people and those who need extra support to live independently.
Building and regeneration
Sanctuary plays a role in tackling the national housing crisis by building new affordable homes across the UK. We build for a wide range of needs and lifestyles, with a focus on quality and long-term sustainability.
Our regeneration work improves neighbourhoods by listening to residents and putting local needs first.
Customer focus
We put customers at the centre of what we do. We work to improve services, involve residents in decisions, and create places people feel proud to call home.
