Overview

UAL, also known as University of the Arts London, is Europe’s largest specialist art and design university.

It is home to a large creative community of students, staff, artists, designers, makers, performers, thinkers and researchers. Based in London, UAL plays a major role in creative education and supports talent across the arts, design, fashion, media and culture.

UAL brings together six well-known colleges, each with its own strong identity and global reputation. Because apparently one world-class creative college was not enough, so London collected six. Naturally.

UAL Colleges

UAL is made up of six colleges:

  • Camberwell College of Arts: Known for fine art, design and conservation.
  • Central Saint Martins: Known for fashion, art, performance, design and innovation.
  • Chelsea College of Arts: Known for fine art, design and curating.

  • London College of Fashion: Known for fashion design, business, media and technology.
  • Wimbledon College of Arts: Known for theatre, performance, costume, production and fine art.
