Onward Homes is looking for a Compliance Information Specialist - Fire Safety to join its Landlord Compliance and Delivery team. The role is based at the Merseyside office. You will help the Fire Safety team keep clear, accurate and up to date records of compliance work.
This role matters because good Fire Safety records support safe homes, better planning and strong compliance. You will help track planned and completed works. You will check reports and certificates. You will also support payment for contractor work and help monitor performance and spend.
Key Responsibilities
- Data management: Keep accurate records of planned and completed Fire Safety works.
- Compliance records: Make sure records are current, useful and in line with policies and procedures.
- Certificates and reports: Check that certificates and reports are recorded and reviewed.
- Remedial actions: Identify non-compliance issues and extra works for the right colleague to action.
- Report validation: Help produce and check reports on landlord compliance work.
- Information analysis: Support analysis linked to Fire Safety programmes.
- Performance data: Help improve performance information for planned work programmes.
- Compliance framework: Support the development of a performance framework for compliance works.
- System administration: Help manage systems used for compliance work.
- Work orders and budgets: Support the creation of work orders, budgets and payments.
- Audit support: Provide clear and up to date information for internal and external audits.
- Team support: Work with the Fire Safety Manager and wider compliance teams.
About You
You should have:
- Housing systems knowledge: Knowledge of core housing systems, business planning and asset management systems.
- Compliance knowledge: Knowledge of property management, maintenance and landlord compliance.
- Customer focus: Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Good practice: The ability to promote good practice within and across Onward.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team working: Experience working with other teams and external stakeholders.
- IT skills: Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Database experience: Experience using housing asset management systems and database systems.
- Performance knowledge: Experience with performance management for planned work.
- Organisation skills: A methodical approach and strong organisation skills.
- Independent working: The ability to work well in a team and on your own.
- Driving requirements: A full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
- Education: GCSE standard education, or equivalent qualification or experience.
Desirable experience includes:
- Asset compliance qualification: Level 4 VRQ or equivalent Award in Asset and Building Compliance Awareness, or working towards this.
- Systems knowledge: Further knowledge of core housing, finance and asset management systems.
