Principia is looking for a Building Safety & Compliance Officer to support its block management team in Chelsea.
This role will help make sure residential buildings are safe, compliant and well managed. You will support key building safety tasks, manage records, work with contractors and keep residents and clients informed.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Building Safety and Compliance Officer, you will support the delivery of safety and compliance services across a residential property portfolio.
You will:
- Support compliance: Help make sure legal and safety duties are met.
- Manage records: Keep building safety and compliance data accurate and up to date.
- Track requirements: Maintain spreadsheets for properties and safety actions.
- Coordinate surveys: Arrange building height surveys where needed.
- Register buildings: Support building registration tasks where required.
- Arrange inspections: Help book and manage safety inspections.
- Manage contractors: Liaise with contractors and monitor service delivery.
- Support residents: Engage with residents and respond to building safety queries.
- Prepare updates: Produce safety KPIs and progress reports.
- Attend meetings: Join client meetings where updates are needed.
- Support clients: Liaise with clients and directors on building safety requirements.
- Maintain safety information: Compile and update Building Safety Information Boxes.
- Support signage: Oversee wayfinding signage installation where needed.
- Promote wellbeing: Support health, safety and wellbeing across managed buildings.
Building Safety Responsibilities
This Building Safety role is focused on keeping information clear, current and useful.
You will help make sure inspections, records, surveys and compliance actions are tracked in the right way. Good records matter because building safety depends on clear evidence, not vague hopes and a folder last opened in 2018.
You will also support communication between residents, contractors, clients and internal teams.
