Description
Sweco is hiring a Senior Building Control Surveyor in Bristol.
This is a permanent full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role is hybrid, with around 3 days in the office or on site and 2 days at home, depending on site visits and client meetings.
You will join Sweco Building Control, a Registered Building Control Approver. You will manage a varied range of projects and work as part of a motivated team.
This role would suit an experienced Surveyor with strong Building Control knowledge, good client skills, and a practical approach to solving problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Check plans: Review plans submitted for Building Regulation approval
- Inspect sites: Carry out site visits, witness tests, and prepare site reports
- Advise clients: Attend meetings and give professional Building Control advice
- Follow systems: Use company management systems and work in line with the quality system
- Manage delivery: Support projects in line with programme and cost requirements
- Build relationships: Work closely with clients and design teams to help deliver successful projects
About You
- Experienced: Strong Building Control experience
- Registered: RBI Registration is required
- Qualified: RICS, CABE, CIOB, or similar accreditation
- Technically strong: Good understanding of Building Control and related technical issues
- Problem solver: Able to think clearly and find practical solutions
- Client focused: Proactive in building relationships and delivering a strong service
- Organised: Able to manage a range of project demands
- Mobile: Full valid driving licence required
