The Government Property Agency is looking for Fire Safety Delivery Managers to join its Workplace Services team.
This is a permanent, full-time role. There are 2 posts available. The role is Senior Executive Officer grade.
You will help deliver Fire Safety management across government buildings in England and Wales. Some of these buildings are among the most well-known in the public estate.
The role sits within an expanding national team of fire safety professionals. This team forms part of the wider Assurance Team.
You will make sure fire safety arrangements are clear, effective and well managed for GPA clients. You will work with clients, occupiers, suppliers and fire safety enforcement bodies.
This Fire Safety role suits someone with strong technical knowledge, good stakeholder skills and a practical approach to risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Fire Safety management across the GPA estate.
- Help GPA meet its statutory duties.
- Support safe working environments for clients and occupiers.
- Act as a Fire Safety specialist.
- Help develop safe systems of work.
- Support a risk-based fire safety management programme.
- Give advice on fire safety policy.
- Give advice on technical standards and operational issues.
- Work with GPA client stakeholders.
- Work with fire safety enforcement bodies.
- Support inspections and audits.
- Build strong links with supplier contacts.
- Support effective fire safety management across the estate.
- Work as part of a national Assurance Team.
- Help improve fire safety standards across government buildings.
About You
- Experience in Fire Safety management.
- Good knowledge of fire safety law and duties.
- Able to support fire safety across a large estate.
- Able to work with clients, occupiers and suppliers.
- Able to engage with enforcement bodies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to give clear technical advice.
- Able to support audits and inspections.
- Able to manage risk in a practical way.
- Able to build strong stakeholder relationships.

- Gold Standard accreditation may attract a £5,000 non-pensionable allowance.
