Technical Manager | Full Time | Burgess Hill | £40,000

Places Leisure is looking for a Technical Manager to join The Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill.

This is a permanent, full-time role. You will work 40 hours per week. The role sits within Leisure Operations.

You will help keep the leisure centre safe, well maintained and ready for customers. You will support key policies linked to health and safety, the environment, planned maintenance and preventative maintenance.

This Technical role is hands-on. You will update systems, support policies and help improve how the service works.

The role suits someone with strong maintenance, building services or leisure centre technical experience. You should be practical, organised and confident working in a busy public facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day technical management.
• Help keep the leisure centre safe and well maintained.
• Implement health and safety policies.
• Support environmental policies.
• Manage planned maintenance activity.
• Manage preventative maintenance activity.
• Update technical systems and records.
• Help improve service standards.
• Support business needs across the centre.
• Work with colleagues across Leisure Operations.
• Help create active places and healthy people.
• Support safe services for customers and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Report safety or safeguarding concerns when needed.

About You

• Experience in a similar Technical Manager role.
• Qualification up to ONC or City & Guilds level.
• Electrical qualification would be suitable.
• Heating and ventilation services qualification would be suitable.
• Equivalent qualifications may be considered.
• Pool Plant Operators Certificate.
• Or able to qualify for the certificate after appointment.
• Good practical maintenance knowledge.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Able to manage systems and policies.
• Able to work in a busy leisure centre.
• Organised and reliable.
• Able to support safe services for the public.
• Committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk.
