Description
Yorkshire Housing is looking for a Technical and Compliance Officer to join its adaptations team.
This is a permanent role. You will work 35 hours per week. The role is based across Yorkshire and includes agile working.
You will manage home adaptation projects from start to finish. These may include wet rooms, larger home extensions and specialist equipment.
Your work will help customers live safely, comfortably and independently in their homes.
This Compliance role suits someone with strong technical knowledge, good project skills and a customer-focused approach. You will work with customers, contractors, occupational therapists and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage adaptation projects from start to finish.
- Support wet room projects.
- Support larger home extension works.
- Support specialist equipment installations.
- Meet customers and understand their needs.
- Work with contractors and site teams.
- Work with occupational therapists.
- Work with local authorities.
- Manage project budgets.
- Manage project timelines.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Oversee contractor performance.
- Check quality standards on site.
- Lead on specialist equipment compliance.
- Support adaptation accreditation needs.
- Give technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Help make sure works are safe, compliant and high quality.
- Support positive outcomes for customers.
About You
- Relevant building qualification, such as HNC, HND or equivalent.
- Experience delivering disability adaptation projects.
- Knowledge of planning processes.
- Knowledge of building regulations.
- Experience managing contractors.
- Experience managing project delivery.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Able to manage several priorities.
- Able to solve problems in a practical way.
- Organised and technically confident.
- Passionate about good customer outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to travel across Yorkshire.
