Director of Home & Building Safety | Full Time | Home Based | £130,000

Platform Housing Group is looking for a Director of Home & Building Safety.

This is a permanent, full-time role. It is home based, with regular travel. Travel will mainly be to Solihull and across Platform’s operating areas.

This is a senior leadership role with wide responsibility. You will lead home and Building Safety, statutory compliance, assurance, facilities and fleet services across more than 50,000 homes.

You will help customers feel confident that their homes are safe, compliant and fit for the future.

You will also support the unification of Platform’s Property Directorate. This will bring together Asset and Maintenance functions. You will help set the goals, standards and performance measures that shape future success.

This Building Safety role suits an experienced strategic leader. You should be able to lead senior teams, manage risk, influence change and provide clear assurance to executive leaders, committees and the Board.

• Lead Platform’s approach to home and Building Safety.

About You

• Significant experience leading safety, compliance or property-related services.
• Experience working in a complex organisation.
• Deep knowledge of Building Safety.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Senior leadership experience.
• Experience leading leaders.
• Experience driving organisational performance.
• Strong knowledge of safety legislation.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Experience applying safety law in practice.
• Experience managing organisational risk.
• Experience managing audit and assurance.
• Experience managing large budgets.
• Able to make strategic financial decisions.
• Track record of leading change.
• Able to influence across complex stakeholder groups.
• Degree or equivalent experience in construction, engineering, building services or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as MCIOB, MRICS, MIFireE or similar.
